Solving Kali Linux signature verification error when  running apt-get update

Kali signature verification error

If you are running Kali and got the error shown below solving it is pretty easy.


root@Darkstar:/home/linuxinstitute# apt-get update

  1. To solve this we will download the following package by running:
    wget https://http.kali.org/kali/pool/main/k/kali-archive-keyring/kali-archive-keyring_2018.1_all.deb

2)  And install the package, if you need this last instruction you need to read our old article about the .deb packages manager. Now to finally solve the update problem run:

root@Darkstar:/home/linuxinstitute# dpkg -i kali-archive-keyring_2018.1_all.deb


3) And run apt-get update again
